I love trying unusual cropping in camera.  This shot was captured while on a hike to a local high point, and Liam's shirt seemed to match the colors of light in the landscape perfectly.  

At the peak of our hike, a few students and local kids went on ahead  to the top of the ridge.  The light coming through the clouds and silhouetting the trees is my favorite element of this shot.  

At an impromptu dance party after dinner one night, I started playing with flash and long exposure.  This shot captures the pure joy that the students and locals were experiencing.  I really like the light trails drug about the frame from the long exposure and camera movement.

Three local children take a break in front of large bags of rice and pinto beans.  I loved the light coming through the door just out of frame.

Three women enjoy a brief break from picking coffee beans by sitting together on the front porch hammock.  Taken from inside the house looking out, I thought this captured moment really showed the friendship and connection that happened on this trip.

My host family leans in for a quick portrait.  This family was incredibly welcome to me and all of my camera gear and extra needs that came along with it.  They loved to look at the days photo's with me each night, and I snapped this one just before we left on the last day.  It was the most candid I ever caught them. 

A macro shot of some local flora outside one of the homes we installed solar on.  The small white blooms on the right help form a smiling face. The depth of field rolls of incredibly fast.

On our last day of work picking coffee beans, the team headed back to the bus and these growths caught my eye as I held back a bit.
